Born in Cairo and raised in Manchester, and now based in Berlin, SOULSEEK is fast becoming a fixture of the city’s electronic underground. Her booty-shaking sets are both sinuous and seductive—pulled by a percussive undertow where crooked bass, UK breakbeat and bumpy trance converge with an ever-expanding repertoire of diasporic African rhythms and the namesake soul of her Sudanese roots.
Beyond the booth, Suleiman is a co-founder of MOTHER.LOADING, a collective merging music with culture, and the force behind Dunya, a fundraising series celebrating the Sudanese sounds and resilience, while driving awareness and action for communities in crisis.
